For those of you who don't know what tubing is, it is removing the background from a picture or piece of artwork. We do this so we can use the main image in other ways. I only do this with work from artists that allow this kind of activity...
Notes about tubing:
I resave the original image as a PSP document. (.psp or .pspimage)
Then, I convert the layer to raster.
I use freehand selection tool.
Set Tolerance to 20 - 50 - (I use 30) Set Feather to 2.
Zoom in on where you want to start tubing and take small steps around the image. I do in stages and zoom out so I can get get my bearing on the image...
I also add a rastor behind the original image, usually in bright green or bright pink, so I can see if my tubing is clean as I go.
I save, then resave to compatible to PSP 7 so other people can use it...
